Black, Indigenous and Equity Support

It is paramount that we are making efforts to support marginalized communities on campus and that includes in the academic sphere.

  • CONTINUE working with the necessary bodies to engage in a broader curriculum review in line with the Inclusion Action Plan that helps to make sure courses where possible are cognizant of historical anti-Black racism, discrimination, and Indigenous issues 


  • CONTINUE work in encouraging the development of racialized and Indigenous Faculty cohort hiring initiatives like the BFCHI through the heavy encouragement of the Provost Office


  • ENSURE the efficient and effective implementation of the Inclusion Action Plan and Indigenous Strategic Plan by establishing a standing Senate Committee on Senate Academic Diversity and Inclusion
